UBS Formula One

We supported UBS with the digital comms promoting their sponsorship of Mercedes Formula One Team for four years, managing weekly updates on race performance, standout content for major races and full integrated campaigns using driver and leadership talent.

Over the past four years, we’ve closely supported the UBS Formula One team’s social media presence, managing both organic and paid efforts. We provided day-to-day assistance during races, creating content and leading individual campaigns throughout the year. Our ongoing collaboration with the Mercedes social media team ensured consistent messaging aligned with the brand’s identity, with a particular focus on sustainability in 2023.

In addition to our day-to-day involvement, we collaborated on significant campaigns, such as the Hamilton Engineering School initiative. This campaign aimed to surprise and engage by inviting four unsuspecting children on a tour of the Mercedes F1 factory at Brackley, culminating in a surprise encounter with Lewis Hamilton disguised as a mechanic.

Our objectives were clear: generate excitement, drive quality views, and raise awareness of the shared commitment to education between UBS, Mercedes AMG Formula One, and Lewis.

The results were outstanding, with over 14 million initial video views from hero film and main social cut-downs alone. Impressively, 15-23% of the audience watched at least a quarter of the films, totalling nearly 1.3 million 25% views. The content’s quality drove remarkable efficiency in our paid campaign, with an average cost per 25% view of just £0.07, outperforming industry benchmarks.

Following the initial success, we launched a second part in 2022.
